Not everyone can write, even though their lives would count on their writing skills for survival! I remember when I was seven years of age, and helped a classmate write a love letter to a girl in our class. It was short and sweet, and I think it was only three words, "I love you"! That was the first time I wrote for a client! So, in this guide, I'll give you full access to the text you need to write a professional review in minutes, not hours! In addition, you might not have to write a single word by selecting pre-made words and phrases laid out for you.
Online shops and eCommerce sites often limit reviews to the number of characters you can use to post your detailed thoughts on the subject. There is sometimes a 30-day window to post your review. Too often, this is not enough time for me to evaluate the product, test it out to determine if it is made to last, or if it is even usable for what it is supposed to do!
Therefore, I made this Unbiased Review Text Template to help me wrap up a review that saves me a lot of time when creating product reviews for eCommerce sites for stuff I buy online. You are welcome to use it to help you publish your thoughts on things you buy in online shops and from eCommerce sites.
Lately, some eCommerce sites have added the option to post your review within the 30-day window, and you can then come back later and add to your review. This is unfair as I have to post a review, and I might only want to post within a limited timeframe with the option to edit or rewrite what I already wrote. And if you forget to post within the 30-day timeframe, you won't be able to post your product review!
Of course, you can also use my blog product review text template as a starter if you want to post your review in your blog posts.
Should You Add Photos with Your Review?
Yes, the more photos, the better!
- Upload photos of the product from all angles.
- Upload photos showcasing how you use the product.
- Upload photos of the packing, it will support your packing review.
- Upload photos or videos when unboxing the product.
If you have more photos to upload but are limited to X number of uploads, you can use free online tools such as design tools or photo editors to add multiple photos into one photo.
When posting a text review on online shops and eCommerce sites, you can upload your photos separately with your review, and your photo/s will then be published with your review. So it is not as on websites such as blog posts like this one where you add an image exactly where it will fit your text content.

Each category has multiple options, words, or phrases.
- First, copy the text to a Word or Notepad or similar editor and select the wording that best fits your review. The best is to work with one category at a time.
- Second, please add your thoughts to your review to clarify the meaning/usage of the item/product you're reviewing.
- Third, delete all unnecessary text such as # and the category # and all (bold text within Brackets) and all unused words/phrases as they will not help your review stand out.
- Forth. Keep an eye on bold text; there might be words/phrases in the text description you might want to rewrite or remove.
Should you post all the categories on the product page?
It depends.
- This is not a one-size-fits-all product review text template. For example, you might have to improvise some categories or not include one or more product review categories with your review.
- If you are limited to words or characters, you must skip some words/phrases/categories.
- Sometimes, you'll have to decide based on a choice of alternatives or possibilities whether to skip text that does not fit or give your product review less or no value.

There is a vast difference between writing a review to submit on the shop product page or in your blog post, and you can get away by describing a lot less.)
